      The KN-8828P is our most advanced coffee roasting appliance.
Although it features the basic roasting profile allowing for an automatic roast much like our other models, the KN-8828P also gives the user the ability to create their own roasting Programs to suit their method of brewing, choice of beans, and personal taste. Main-fan speed, roasting temperature, and roasting time are all programmable. Each program is made up of eight segments that control the roast. Up to nine different Programs can be created and saved in non-volatile memory for future use. Each profile can be named to make them easier to identify in the future. Any individual parameter in a Program can be examined and easily changed without having to re-enter an entire Program. Want to change just the temperature in Segment 6 only? No problem!
    The Advanced LCD display provides the user with plenty of information to keep track of the roast. Current chamber temperature, time remaining in the roast, time remaining in the current segment, current fan speed, and graphs showing how the current temperature is progressing in relation to the programmed temperature is all available at once on the display!

    New! July 2007   The KN-8828P
    The newly designed "KN-8828B" now gives the user complete manual control of all parameters while still allowing those new to coffee roasting easy the ability to successfully roast from the very beginning Simply plug the roaster in and press the "POWER/START" button three times and the roasting process begins. Add the beans when the machine "beeps" and you can either allow it to roast and then eject the beans automatically or you can manually end the roast at any time.
    By programming in a time and temperature, these become "targets" and if one is reached the beans will automatically eject.
    The Advanced LCD display also allows the user to change roasting Target Time, Target temperature, fan speed, and heating element power level at any time during the roast.
    Having to remember a roast with all those possible changes would be nearly impossible, so to allow you to repeat a roast there are three memory areas. At the end of the roast which you have modified using any of the above changes you are presented with "Stor" in the display. At that time you can easily save the completed roast into non-volatile memory, including all the changes you have made. Up to three roasts can be saved in this manner. A stored roasting profile can be easily selected at the start of a roast, and that Profile can be changed during the roast as described above, and then saved again at the end of the process.

    The KN-8828D is a step up from the KN-8828. This model adds a digital control panel featuring an LED display. The display allows more precise programming of the roast time and during operation shows the user the time remaining in the roasting process. With the press of a button it displays the current temperature in the roasting chamber.

    The KN-8828 is our basic model. It features a pre-programmed roasting curve with a control panel that allows the user choose one of seven roast levels that controls the time of the roasting process.

    This model can be easily upgraded. By simply swapping the control panel it can be converted into the KN-8828D, and by swapping the control panel and the main circuit board it becomes the KN-8828P.
